Ingredients:
2 cups of wheat flour
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup of hot water
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a cake pan.
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well.
In another bowl, beat the eggs lightly. Add the milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
Pour the liquid ingredients over the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
Add the hot water to the dough and stir until the dough is smooth and homogeneous. The dough will be quite liquid, but this is normal.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for around 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before unmolding.
Serve with a topping of your choice, such as chocolate ganache, chocolate sauce or whipped cream.
